I booked the cottages in Thai Resorts for just one day's stay with great expectation. The first shock was the tariff which is highly volatile I guess. After checking the Tariff in the resort's website I realize I was charged nearly 60% higher charges than they mentioned in the website. Next rounds of surprise was waiting in the cottage. Though they claim best class facilities (over phone and website) when I entered the cottage I realized I was cheated. The room in the cottage is equipped with less than 5W CFL (in each room) and the inmates can't see each other and can't see the poor quality of furniture inside. The next shock was in the toilet. Once we close the door, you should have long nails to open it as there are no handles on the poor quality door. No working toilet flushes, No shower, No hot water!! nothing. Highly disappointing when we consider the money we pay. More importantly the accessibility is nightmare. No way to reach the cottage in your taxi as the narrow single lane road will be always crowded.
I took the trouble to report the issues and the response from the night time receptionist was indifferent. Totally irresponsible and hostile!!. When I asked for the receipt for the money I paid, the guy even tried to threaten me !
